Balance

There is a common progression among those who have balanced something in life. All who learn to spin plates, take their first steps in infancy, or establish a work-life balance do so in similar form.

At first, there is lots of falling…

and lots of getting back up.

Then there are lots of close calls and sore muscles. Then there are fewer close calls and more explorations.

Then there is the Flow state.

Every three weeks we can learn a new habit that can increase the quality of our life.

Every six weeks we get stronger in these patterns and can make even stronger moves, although with conscious effort.

Every six months the structure of our body, and life, will match the forces, influences and patterns applied from the previous six months.

At this stage, we enter a Flow state while doing that which used to be impossible.

That is, before it became possible but difficult, and much before it became the new standard.

We then raise our own bar after learning how much more capacity we have.

And then we fall…
